Why handwriting uses the high-accuracy engine
Handwritten symbols are easy to confuse: a q can pass for a g, a 5 for an S, a 1 for a 7. Handwriting therefore goes to our high-accuracy recognition engine instead of the free one, which is why it needs an account and a credit.
Recognition is never perfect on handwriting, so the preview sits right next to the code: read it once against your notes before you copy.

Tips for a clean result
Write fractions with a clear bar, leave space between separate terms, and avoid shadows across the page. A photo taken straight on reads better than one at an angle.

- It reads most clearly written math: digits, letters, Greek letters, fractions, roots, scripts, sums and integrals. Messy or overlapping writing can come out wrong, so check the preview before copying.
